Welcome to the Scout section pages
Submitted by Admin on Thu, 06/04/2006 - 19:41. ScoutsScouts are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of their programme. "Participation" rather than meeting set standards is the key approach and for the Scout who wants to be recognised for his or her achievements there are a number of Challenges Awards and Activity Badges. Scouts take part in a balanced programme that helps them to find out about the world in which they live, encourages them to know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit and helps develop their creative talents. It also provides opportunities to explore their own values and personal attitudes

Since moving to this District from the small area I had before in New Forest South it has been a great challenge for me to move into an area where I new very few people but was welcomed so warmly into this position it has been a fantastic opportunity for me. My personal thanks go to Peter Moody for his unreserved support since I took up this post.
I also wish to thank my District Team for there great support too.
We have worked through various changes to move this district forward and I truly believe we are well on the way to being great for scouting in this area the achievements of our members has been exceptional.
