Dear Leaders and All Scouts
Well I have to say how PROUD I am as your DC of all members of my District of Fareham East. Since coming here in April last year it has been great for me to meet so many new friends and people within the District. They say the DCs job is a lonely one and sometimes it is and you have to make decisions that we all may not agree with.
On Thursday evening when you all turned out for the St Georges Day Parade I was to say the least Speechless your Turn out Bearing, Uniform and Loyalty to Scouting was excellent. I know only too well in this modern world how pier pressure on young people is very hard but you all showed the town of Fareham that Scouting is still very strong and getting Stronger as time goes on.
Thanks to all those who organised this event please give feedback on the event as this helps us get it better next time. Well done to those who gained their awards of merit for long and dedicated service all well deserved.
Let’s keep up this good Scouting in Fareham East for many years to come.
