St Georges Day Evening

Introduction and Welcome by the DC

Baden Powell said when he was walking in the Mountains in Kandersteg Switzerland. Climb In Company, and when you reach the glorious summit, sit alone and think and while you think drink in the Inspiration of it all. When you come down to earth again you will feel a new person in mind, body and spirit. Live the Dream

The Bidding- By the DISTRICT COMMISSIONER: Tony Parkinson: -

Dear Jesus, We thank you for being with us here this afternoon, as we gather together to celebrate St. George, who is our Patron Saint and the Patron St. Of England. In Jesus name. AMEN

Cub Scout Prayer: - Read by TBA from TBA Cub Pack

Heavenly Father, as we are gathered here on this special day, we are thinking of our Scout Families. We thank you for being part of our lives and we look forward to more happy years of Scouting, and to meeting and making more friends. In the Lord’s name. AMEN

Scout Prayer: - Read by TBA from TBA Scout Troop

Dear Lord, we thank you for guiding us and giving our Founder, Lord Baden- Powell, the inspiration to write “Scouting for Boys”. It has given young people over many years a good guideline on how to live their lives to the full.
The friendships we gain from Scouting will be with us for the rest of our life, the skills we learn we will never forget. This is what Scouting is all about. But without your love and help, this would not be possible. In your name. AMEN
